Training Tuesday: Introduction to ASTM

Training Tuesday— an Introduction the ASTM.

What’s the deal with being a part of ASTM?

1) ASTM F24: Amusement Rides and Devices is made up of approximately 800 members who work together to make everything related to inflatables and the industry safe and all-inclusive.

2) ASTM designation F2374-19 is dedicated specifically to the design, manufacture, operation, and maintenance of inflatables.

3) ASTM requires the manufacturer to provide a user’s manual to the owner (F2374-19:6.1.2.3) and it requires the owner or operator of the inflatable to be responsible for (F2374-19:7):

  • Training staff (F2374-19:7.8)
  • Inspecting the inflatable and documenting date, time, and relevant information (F2374-19:7.7)
  • Maintenance program (F2374-19:7.6)
  • Emergency response situation plan (F2374-19:10.3)

4) ASTM gives our customers 7-Days to notify us of any incident the results in an injury. (F2374-19:7.10.3)

5) ASTM F2374-19:6 requires that your manufacturer follow the quality, manufacture, and construction guidelines when designing and making the inflatable.

This is a huge field of information. We are always available to talk, answer questions, and continue dialogue on all things ASTM related.

We want you to know we value you and your business – not just for doing business with us, but for continuing to develop the industry.

How to Properly use Hashtags to benefit your Business and Brand

Hashtags can be a very useful tool in benefiting your business and brand when it comes to social media.

Social media and your business should be best friends. Using your social media platforms as your very own PR Reps is the best thing to do for your business.

How to properly use hashtags to benefit your business.

It’s crucial to implement your brand onto your social media platforms, and hashtags are a great tool. First, get a good understanding of what your brand is. What do you want to convey through your social media platforms? What your ultimate goal is for your users? You want followers to remember your company, whether it be for your slogan, the types of photos post to promote your company, or even something as simple as your company logo— all these links back to your brand.

Hashtags are just another easy way for you to incorporate the brand into your posts. Companies who have utilized this and can be recognized without even saying their brand name are “#Justdoit” or “#Imlovinit.”

There are so many applications that can help you determine which hashtag works for you and which hashtag brings in followers. Hashtagify, Ritetag, and Influencer Marketing Hub are just a couple of online tools you can use to optimize your hashtags so that they benefit your post. Many people can be discouraged by hashtags because they don’t know how to use them. Utilizing online tools can put you in the right direction.

Another important step in using hashtags is testing. Testing is a key component in figuring out which sequence of hashtags works best, as well as the number of hashtags that work for your social posts.

Never lose sight of your brand when using hashtags. Your social medias are a representation of your company and or your product.

Things to keep in mind when using #Hashtags

  • There is a hashtag limit. You can use up to 30 hashtags in one post. (This is more than enough) Posting too many hashtags come across unauthentic and impersonal.
  • Keep your hashtags short. If your hashtag is hard to read then it’s probably too long. Short and sweet is the best way to go (ex. #bouncehouse #fun #inflatable)
  • Be mindful of banned hashtags, if you used a hashtag that has been censored or banned by Instagram nothing will appear under that hashtag .

Remember that practice makes perfect. It will take a couple of posts and testing to come up with a great formula that represents your business while maintaining authenticity.

What to Consider when Purchasing a Commercial Bounce House

What to consider when purchasing a commercial bounce house.

Purchasing a commercial bounce house can be beneficial financially, health-wise, and great for any party event. Whether you are buying a bounce house for residential use or commercial use, there might be questions on the purchase of a commercial bounce house. At Magic Jump Inc., we want to make sure you feel comfortable with your purchase. We know what it takes to make a safe, creative bounce house that everyone will love. Here are a couple of things to consider when purchasing your commercial bounce house.

Safety is Always First

When purchasing a bounce house, safety is a priority. At Magic Jump Inc., we pride ourselves on the fact that we pay close attention to safety and being up to date with any new safety regulations. The bounce house should display all safety rules for participants to read before entering to play.

Is it for commercial use or residential?

Commercial or residential use determines the price, size, and how long the bounce house will last. A bounce house for residential will be a lot smaller than a commercial bounce house and is for fewer participants. The lifespan of a bounce house for residential use is a lot less compared to a commercial bounce house that is several years. The main factor is the material used in manufacturing.

What is the Bounce House made of?

It’s essential to educate yourself on the materials that make up the bounce house. When buying your bounce, make sure to ask questions about how it was made and what material was used to make the bounce house. The material the bounce house is made of will determine the safety and durability of the inflatable.

How much are you willing to spend?

Think about how much money you are willing to spend. Consider whether you want to buy a used bounce house or a brand new one. Depending on the price, look at the pros and cons of buying a used bounce house or a new one.

If you are looking into buying a brand new one, compare prices but take into account quality, material, and safety. These factors can also reflect on the price, which is sometimes a good thing.

Am I willing to pay a reasonable amount for a jumper that is well made with good quality from a well-rated company? The decision is ultimately yours.

Good Warranty

A good warranty is crucial when purchasing a bounce house. At least 1-3 years warranty is recommended for a commercial bounce house. Magic Jump Inc. offers a 1.5-year warranty for our wet units and a three-year warranty for our dry units.
